John Custer Perry, Jr. “Johnny”, 59, passed suddenly on Monday, April 17, 2023, while enjoying and caring for his beautiful property in Candler. Johnny was born on December 25, 1963 to John “Custer” Perry, Sr. and Ruth Knight Perry in Asheville. Although Johnny was a longtime carpenter by trade, he was capable of so much more and was known by all as a “jack of all trades”. In addition to caring for his property, he loved his family and enjoyed playing music, being outdoors, and fishing. He was always caring and selfless and was an amazing father, brother, and friend who will be missed by all.
