Fiber Connect Installs Free Broadband at South Egremont Village School
On Tuesday, August 27, 2019, the day before the South Egremont Village School opened after its 2-year hiatus, Fiber Connect installed 1 Gbps fiber optic broadband. Fiber Connect's offer of free install and free ongoing service had been unanimously accepted by Egremont's BOS shortly before. In order for the school's internet to be up and LIT, Fiber Connect took 4 hours to pull the school's fiber drop from the nearest pole, to splice the school into FC's network and to provision the school on-site.
